A Ballet Photographer needs to capture both the movement and the artistry of the dancer. This skill is one I apply to every photo shoot. My knowledge of ballet began back in 2006, when my own daughter started her journey in ballet.
With my figure skating background and her studies in ballet, both classical and modern, I have gained great insight to the art of dance. A ballet photographer must capture the exact finished moment of the movement so the dancer is shown at their very best.
My joy in photography comes from the delight of the dancer as they see pictures of themselves and can appreciate the beauty that we as the audience see in them.
